Hyderabad experienced heavy rainfall in various parts of the city early on Wednesday morning, with flooding at some places.

A flood-like situation prevailed at Kukatpally, Alwal, Qutbullapur and Mallajgiri, with thunderstorms leading to continuous rainfall throughout the night.

Heavy rain fall in Hyderabad at different places in city on last two days. In Hyderabad rain so much high at Kukatpally aliwin colony, miyapur etc.

Qutbullapur experienced 15.6 cm of rainfall, and along with Alwal and northern part of Kukatpally, was put on high alert. In Kukatpally, the rain reduced in intensity after 3 hours, though the high alert stayed in place.

Toli Chowki and Shaikpet areas also experienced heavy rainfall.

The Nalla at Allwyn colony overflowed as a result of heavy rainfall, and Chikkadpally and Nallakunta Nallas also experienced increase in water level on Wednesday. A wall collapsed at Ramki villa due to the rains.

Apart from these areas of heavy rain, Ramachandrapuram experienced 30.5 mm of rainfall, Madhapur 24.75 mm and Balanagar 19.25 mm.

Monsoon teams were engaged in reducing water stagnation at low lying areas of Afzal Sagar, Habeeb Nagar in Mallepally and in Red Hills. Such teams were also at work at NGRI and opposite Rajyalaxmi theatre in the city.

The Ganesh Nagar Nalla, Ayodhyanagar, Dwarkanagar, Subhash Nagar and Devendra Nagar were some of the low-lying areas inundated by flood waters.

Additionally, water had stagnated at Surraram, Chintal, Venkateshwara Nagar, Sudarshan Nagar, Bhagatsinh Nagar and Maruti Nagar.

A few spells of moderate to heavy rainfall are still likely to occur in west, south and northern parts of Hyderabad

With very heavy rains lashed the city last night, public life went out of gear in Hyderabad since morning. Many low lying localities were inundated and roads are filled with rain water. It resulted heavy traffic congestion in the city as vehicles stuck on roads coming from different parts city since morning.

Greater Hyderabad municipal corporation already issued warning people not to venture out until water flow receded in low lying areas. panjagutta, Begumpet, Malkajigiri and kukatpalli areas are the worst affected.

Traffic police and GHMC officials are struggling hard to clear roads from traffic at every Junction.

With huge inflows from the upper streams, Water levels at Hussain Sagar reached dangerous levels. Efforts were on to discharge water from hussain Sagar to downstreams.

Hyderabad temperature today

Alerted by the warning that city will receive heavy rains in next 24 hours, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who was in New Delhi spoke to GHMC officials on phone and enquired precautions taken to prevent any damage to public life.

Hyderabad temperature today is cold and rainfall at present temperature in Hyderabad is 230 C. Traffic police and GHMC (Grater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) are alert to all peoples who living in some of the places of Hyderabad like as panjagutta, Begumpet, Malkajigiri and kukatpalli.
