Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday addressed his first election rally in the state after the announcement of the dates for the Bihar Assembly polls.Addressing a huge rally in Banka, which is set to vote in the first phase of Bihar polls, the Prime Minister said that he wanted to change the face of Bihar that reflects the issue of migration.Responding to a cheering crowd, Modi took a jibe at political experts saying, “What will happen to the political pundits now? This is just the beginning.”Hitting out at his opponents, he said that Bihar had tackled everything from feudalism to dynasty politics, but “now is the time to see growth”.He further said, “Bihar will celebrate two Diwalis this year, one on the counting day and the other on Diwali.””I am here to ask for just one thing. If this country has to move forward, Bihar needs to move forward…This country has never seen a movement that did not originate from Bihar,” said the Prime Minister.Modi also referred to the Rs 1.65 lakh crore package that he recently announced for the poll-bound state, saying it was no favour but something that was the due of Bihar.Attacking Bihar Chief Minister and JDU leader Nitish Kumar, Modi said that “he returned the special package given to Bihar…his ego is bigger than people’s needs”.
