Patna:An Election Commission team led by Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi will arrive in Patna today on a two-day visit to Bihar. They will review preparations for the first, second and third phase of assembly elections in the state. The team includes Election Commissioners Achal Kumar Jyoti and OP Rawat. The first phase of elections will be held on October 12, while the second and third phase will take place on October 16 and October 28. AIR correspondent reports, the Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi will hold meeting with representatives of different political parties this afternoon Mr. Zaidi will also hold meeting with Chief Electoral Officer of Bihar. Tomorrow the Election Commission will hold review meeting with Commissioner, Inspector General and SSP of those districts where 1st, 2nd and 3rd phase of elections are going to held. Before leaving Delhi, the Chief Election Commissioner will hold meeting with Chief Secretary, Home Secretary and Director General of Police of the State. Meanwhile, 586 candidates have been left in the fray after the withdrawal of nomination papers for the first of polls.
