Olympic bronze medallist MC Mary Kom said her north-east Indian identity was doing more damage than good when it came to selection. The 32-year-old boxer broke down and accused the Indian selectors of regional bias during boxing selection and trials.”Sometimes I feel very upset. Some of the referees and judges do not favour me but I don’t mind. Okay I am from north-east, no problem, but I am still an Indian,” Mary Kom was quoted as saying by PTI. The five-time world champions was dropped from the Indian team at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and Pinky Jagra,  who competes in the same weight category as her, was chosen.
